I really enjoy reading Eric Sink's weblog. I only have about 4-5 years experience in software development and most of my experience is based in newer technologies. Eric has been around for a while and has made a pretty good career in software engineering.
His post: Yours, Mine and Ours covers a topic that I am fairly familiar with, since I too have written my own weblog software. By Sink's definition, this.Blog very much falls under the category of "MeWare". I wrote it and I am the only one who uses it. I'm pretty much OK with that, in that it allows me to experiment with features (see: IP Filtering Built Into this.Blog) and new programming techniques.
If you get a chance, read his post. It's pretty insightful if you're involved in software development.
