As I plan for the mid-June drive out to Vermont, I've decided that I am going to need to rely on caffeine for the 15 hour trek. The plan is to depart from the Fort at around 10PM so hitting Cleveland will be a midnight ordeal with low traffic and hitting Buffalo will be at about 6AM. I think it will be kind of cool to hit the New York state line just in time for sunrise. To be able to drive this the whole way through, I am going to need caffeine. So, I am going to heighten the affects of caffeine by depriving myself of caffeine for the month prior to the trip. That means the 'no caffeine' policy starts tomorrow.

Massachusetts CrudeI was listening to Car Talk on Saturday when I heard their 'every week' plug for the Shameless Commerce Division of Car Talk. I know that Tommy is always talking about coffee, so I figured the SCD of Car Talk was sure to have a thermos or something for me to tote a large amount of coffee with me for the trip. That's where I found the Official Car Talk 5W-30 Pure Massachusetts Crude stainless steel thermos bottle that will hold 32oz of coffee for me. I also threw in a few Lackey Mugs too.

The trip should be fun. Aunt Rosalie said she is lining up a good set of places of interest for me to check out. I have to make sure to head south to Bennington and Manchester to check out Mt. Equinox. That's where Bill grew up and I'd like a first hand view of the sights that I've seen in oh so many pictures. I also have to make sure to make a stop at the Long Trail Brewery. I haven't had a vacation in quite some time, so this is overdue and I am really looking forward to it!
